Welcome & Introductions
Matt Hahn, BIOVIA
Matt Hahn, Co-Founder of SciTegic, the company that brought you Pipeline Pilot, discusses BIOVIA’s plans for the future of Pipeline Pilot including updates for ScienceCloud, the Next Generation Web-Client and more.
Using Pipeline Pilot as a Broker to Streamline Integration Between BIOVIA Workbook and an External System
Jun Zhong, Technical Manager, BMS
BIOVIA Workbook has been widely deployed and used to capture and store experimental data. Data exchange between BIOVIA Workbook and other systems has always been a challenge. This presentation will discuss using Pipeline Pilot as an integration broker to streamline data exchange between BIOVIA Workbook and an external system. BIOVIA Workbook, which provides Gxp compliance and workflow support, is used to replace an out-of-date data entry interface with minimal impact to users.
Chemistry Collection Updates
Matt Sage, BIOVIA
Several enhancements have been made for the Pipeline Pilot Chemistry Collection in release versions 2016 and 2017, including updates for Homology groups and higher-order stereochemistry, HELM (XHELM support, and more.
What's New in Biology/Imaging
Tim Moran, BIOVIA
This talk will new features and capabilities in the Biology and Imaging Collections which include support of multi-national sequencing efforts and Life Science Imaging applications in machine learning.
Document Search & Analysis
Jannise Buckley, BIOVIA
Use Pipeline Pilot for all of your content, search and analysis needs with updates featuring improved ChemMining capabilities, Text Analytics, Document Search and the Thomson Reuters Cortellis Collection
What’s New in Statistics and Modeling (Big Data)
Dana Honeycutt, BIOVIA
We’ll discuss Hadoop I/O integration and enhanced scalability of native Pipeline Pilot models, including in-memory model support. We'll also cover variable (feature) importance for predictive models. We'll briefly cover tips for data preparation and cleaning.
Use of Pipeline Pilot to Integrate Contour® Structure-Based Design Technology into Modeling Software Packages
Zhijie Liu (Ph.D.), Research Fellow, Vitae Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Contour® is a proprietary structure-based drug design platform for novel hit generation and lead optimization. It consists of a binding site perceptible programmable growth algorithm that grows drug-like molecules by assembling context sensitive fragments in well-defined protein pockets. The following Contour functions were programmed into specific protocols using the Pipeline Pilot tools: de novo growth, a scaffold-hopping capability, reagent sampling, ligand docking, and scoring. For Discovery Studio, Maestro, and MOE front-ends, Pipeline Pilot protocols form the middleware to communicate with Contour engine in the back-end. The protocols developed to automate job preparation, submission, and retrieval of results will be presented.
Tips & Tricks
Fred Coughlin, BIOVIA
This session will cover tips and tricks for users on the newest version of Pipeline Pilot. Working with customers, we've built up a vast knowledge of problems that users have encountered and how to address those problems.
Protocol Building Competition with Matt Hahn
Matt Hahn, BIOVIA
We bring back an old Pipeline Pilot User Group tradition where Matt Hahn goes head to head with attendees in a protocol building competition to see who’s the Pipeline Pilot master
